It was on the rugby pitches of secondary school that I was given the nickname ‘Bison’ and 25 years later, it’s still very much in use by friends and family.
During my years at University I developed a pretty sedentary lifestyle and combined with a typical student diet, I piled on the pounds. By my mid 20’s things were out of control and I needed to urgently change. I took up running which prompted significant weight loss. Since then I have completed over 35 half marathons and 2 marathons.
Having worked as a civil servant and project manager for 14 years I decided that I needed a career change. i needed something I would enjoy and could feel passionate about so a few years ago Bison Personal Fitness was born. I haven’t looked back for a second. My passion for this work continues to grow daily. I’m really lucky to work with some fabulous clients and to help them focus and achieve their goals is a real buzz for me and a massive motivation.
When I decided to change my career I was lucky enough to be taken under the wing of renowned bodybuilding champion and vastly experienced Personal Trainer, Kev Taylor. Taking what I have learned from Kev and drawing on my own experiences I have developed training and nutrition programs that have consistently delivered results for my clients. I continue to study, to learn new techniques and refine my approach.
